Melly Rodriguez is a Mexican-born illustrator, raised in the border, with her studies on Arts and Design in Monterrey, and currently based in Laredo, Texas.
Working primarily with acrylics paintings, the exploration of nature and discover the magic in the simple things are the core of her work, giving a whimsical vibe through her final art work, defined by vibrant color, playful storytelling, and a sense of wonder.
She was recognized by the City of Laredo in 2014 for her mural project at the La Ladrillera Activity Center, and being Featured Artist at South Texas Collectors Expo from 2014 to 2022 and Panelist at Hill Country Comic Con in 2025.
In 2023, she exhibit at the LightBox Expo 2023 in Los Angeles, California, alongside with the Artist Ricardo Guerrero.
Dedicated to community engagement, Melly shares her knowledge through Sip & Paint experiences with local business and creating new murals for schools across Webb County alongside Sketch83.
